Nightmare

Broken Dolls
Port Washington, NY
May 2012

I couldn't decide whether these belonged here, or on Magpie Musing. In the end, I decided that the fact that the dolls were in a state of decay made them a candidate for Decay & Desuetude. The truth of the matter is that they were in a box in my mother's house. The working theory is that a cat made a nest in the box, and squished and broke the friable body of one doll, scattering limbs and bits and cat hair around. It was a gruesome find.

Trees in Silos

I know. I've been neglecting this site. I was, though, intrigued by an article in the Times the other day, about a guy named Ken Wolf who takes pictures of trees growing out of silos, like this one.
