Glass insulators are so interesting - they look like they have a delicate job, on a dining table holding a candle, say. But their real job is industrial. I used to have a glass insulator for a doorstop but I don't know where it went. Lost in a move, I guess.

Love it all: the brilliant blue backdrop, gray metal, turquoise disks, and roped wires. Lovely.
